Many children in our four year old class do not like to eat a full lunch. Try making a snack type lunch instead. Here are some healthy lunch and snack ideas:

  • Cheese stick/sliced cheese
  • Lunch meat roll ups
  • Pepperoni
  • Cut up fruit or veggies
  • fruit cup/apple sauce
  • Waffles/Pancakes
  • Mac and Cheese in thermos
  • Last night’s left overs in a thermos
  • Bread and butter
  • jelly sandwich
  • protein or granola bars
  • raisins/crasins dried fruit/fruit leather strips
  • graham crackers
  • crackers
  • yogurt
  • pudding
  • jello

Please limit sugary snacks and treats; this gives them a quick boost but does not give them fuel for the day. They also want to eat those items over/and before anything else.
